Purpose of This Website

This website serves as a research platform for the academic study "Cross-Cultural Humor Perception in the Age of AI: A Mixed-Methods Study of Human-AI Joke Attribution and Cultural Bias in Digital Comedy" by Nanditha Krishna and Alexander Pfeiffer. The study is submitted as Research Notes to the European Journal of Humour Research. The platform collects anonymous survey responses for scientific research purposes only.

The legal basis for processing the voluntarily provided survey data is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in scientific research). Participation is entirely voluntary and anonymous. Participants confirm they are at least 16 years of age before participating.

Data Storage & Security

Survey responses are stored securely on encrypted servers. Data is used exclusively for the purposes of this academic research study. No data is shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Aggregated, anonymized results may be published in academic journals and presented at conferences.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object. However, since this survey is fully anonymous and no personal identifiers are stored, it is technically not possible to identify or retrieve individual responses after submission.
